| Counseling/Corporate
Law/Instrument Drafting
The
solid litigation background of the firm provides our attorneys with
unique insight and experience when counseling clients on community
association issues. Many board of director decisions involve
risk analysis or, at the very least, an understanding of the
parameter of rights afforded to an association under the terms
of its legal dedicatory instruments. Indeed, in the past 15 years,
many laws have been codified by the Texas State Legislature
which grant to community associations and their directors
far greater legal rights than may be apparent from the face
of an association's governing documents. Drawing from our expertise,
our attorneys draft and modify both corporate and governing
documents with an understanding of potential litigation
issues and a current knowledge of new statutory and case
law which affect community associations. Understanding a client's
objectives and creating a path through which these goals
may be accomplished is an important part of our relationship
with our clients.
Since
1989, principals with the firm have been practicing community
association law and have been quite active in supporting
proposed legislation beneficial to community associations,
in presenting legal seminars to both property management
companies as well as directors of associations, and in
working actively with various national and regional trade associations
such as the Community Association Institute ("CAI")
as well as the Cypress Creek United Civic Association ("CCUCA").
The firm's unique positioning as a specialist in the community
association field allows us to provide to our clients the
benefits of our deep networking roots and enables us to provide
thoughtful commentary as to the present needs of our clients
and insightful guidance as to where they should be positioned
in the future.
Should
an association have any questions with regard to this service
or program, or should it desire a meeting with a member of
the firm, please feel free to call us at 713-964-5340, fax your
requests to 713-964-5341, or email the firm at info@gammonlaw.com.
